Job Description

FHR is proud to announce an expansion of our continuum of care in RI with our newest program , a Crisis Stabilization Unit. This program serves as a facility-based program where individuals experiencing a psychiatric emergency can receive short-term stabilization services in a safe, structured setting. This 16 bed unit operates for the purposes of hospitalization diversion as well as a step down from a hospital setting for Rhode Island residents 18 years of age or older. It centers on recovery and resiliency with an emphasis on rehabilitation and person-centered care to manage behavior health needs, improve activities of daily living, and increase independence in order to transfer to a lower level of care. This program will operate 24 hours per day and is expected to open in July.

We are currently recruiting for Nursing staff to service as part of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate medical, nursing and program services. The Crisis Nurse is responsible for the initial interview and or assessment of the individuals when they are in crisis to assure stabilization and assist with medication administration.

Qualifications: Graduate of accredited RN program. One year professional experience in mental health facility preferred. Medical/surgical experience is preferred. Board of Registered Nurses with current state license.
