We are looking for a motivated Actuarial Analyst to help expand the scope and speed of our actuarial pricing capabilities. In this high visibility and high impact role, you will make data-driven recommendations to guide the pricing of our insurance product suite and drive profitable growth of the company. What You'll Do:

  • Build and maintain tools for insurance pricing, actuarial reporting and state filings
  • Create and refine frameworks and dashboards to monitor, analyze, and report on historical performance
  • Conduct analyses, generate insights, and translate them to strategic or tactical recommendations
  • Collaborate with NEXT's insurance product management and filings teams take pricing action and drive profitable growth
  • Be an integral part of the actuarial community, and promulgate best practices
  • Actively pursue actuarial credentials

What We Need:

  • BA/BS in actuarial science, statistics, or a quantitative discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in actuarial roles/internship, or completion of a minimum of three CAS examinations
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel) and SQL.
  • Take pride and ownership in your work products and can execute at a high level
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with cross functional partners

Unstoppable Qualities::

  • Familiarity with R or Python is a plus
  • Background in Workers Compensation product preferred

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location(s) listed. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. NEXT employees are eligible to participate in our equity incentive program and will also receive our benefits package, consisting of our partially subsidized medical plan, fully subsidized vision/dental options, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), flexible paid time off, parental leave and more.

US annual base salary range for this full-time position:
$90,000—$148,000 USD
