Job Summary:

Rocket55 is in search of a skilled Front-End Developer to enhance our web development team. This role involves developing and managing innovative WordPress websites that meet the high-performance standards necessary for today’s digital marketing needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization, performance optimization, and security best practices.

Responsibilities:

• WordPress Theme and Plugin Development: Develops custom themes and plugins tailored to client specifications and current web standards.
• Website Optimization: Ensures high performance and responsiveness of all WordPress installations, optimizing website speed and scalability.
• Security Implementation: Implements security measures to protect websites from potential threats, conducting regular security checks and updates.
• Content Management: Collaborates with content teams to integrate and update website content in alignment with SEO strategies and client goals.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Works closely with designers, UX researchers, content strategists, and project managers to deliver cohesive and high-quality web solutions.
• Client Support and Training: Provides technical support to clients and trains them on managing their WordPress websites effectively.
• Continuous Learning: Stays updated with the latest trends in WordPress development, attending workshops and courses to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress website development.
• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, Sass, and responsive web design.
• Experience using common development tools and frameworks, such as Git, Webpack, ACF, Bootstrap, etc.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications adhere to them.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with advanced WordPress frameworks and front-end editors such as Gutenberg.
• Familiarity with additional CMS platforms like Shopify, HubSpot, or BigCommerce.
• Understanding of RESTful API integrations and automation between systems.
