The Lakewood Ranch Hyatt Place is looking for a skilled cook to assist with the breakfast service at the hotel. If you have kitchen expertise and are committed to providing exceptional food and hospitality, we look forward to reviewing your application!


JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily production of high quality food and maintain sanitation standards at all times.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Set-up kitchen properly and on time daily
  • Ensure all food is prepared by recipes designated by brand
  • Ensure food quality and quantity are correct
  • Must follow all QA and Health Department standards
  • Notify supervisor of any problems or complaints when they arise
  • Follow “clean as you go” policy and keep work area clean at all times
  • Rotation of goods – FIFO (First In First Out)
  • After service, turn off and clean oven tops, work areas, and reach-in boxes. Empty and clean dishwasher
  • Make sure production charts are closely followed and adhered to
  • Fill out appropriate cleaning charts
  • Be aware of accident prevention and help enforce safe work conditions
  • Follow all kitchen regulations as outlined and directed
  • Complete administrative duties as required

Food preparation experience is a plus

Satisfactory criminal background screening required - Valid driver’s license and safe driving record may be required


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods of time, ability to walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.


EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including nights and weekends.
