Maitri Medicinals' vision is to cultivate, produce and dispense quality medical marijuana products for Pennsylvania patients who suffer from qualifying medical conditions and diseases. Summary of the Role:
The Director of Cultivation is the day decision maker and lead on all things cultivation and flower processing, ensures data accuracy in terms of plant material inventory, ensures goals are set and met as they pertain to quality and yield, proactively and professionally reports to the Director of Operations on progress and deficiencies, determines and manages standard operating procedures and official documentation as it pertains to the cultivation and processing departments, ensures appropriate record keeping is conducted to track quality and yield metrics, takes full responsibility over their domains including that environmental equipment are proactively managed, develops systems that are efficient and scalable, proactively looks for ways to improve quality, yield, and lower costs in their domains
Qualifications and Education Requirements
10 + years in production horticulture, 5 + years in cannabis specific production horticulture, proficient in google suite applications, data driven and strategic decision maker, proficient with environmental control systems, deeply knowledgeable about plant physiology, fertility, and commercial irrigation systems, experience managing teams of 10+, ability to work cross functionally with data analysis teams, supply chain teams, ability to manage multiple priorities in a high stakes environment, emotional intelligence, ability to adapt quickly to changing demands
M-F 7am-3:30 (50 hours is normal under high demanding weeks, more in situations which human resources become limited)
