Accounting Manager: Freeport, Illinois
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our client’s accounting department and ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial information. The Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting functions, manage the departmental staff, and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting functions including AP, AR, budgeting, cash flow, financial analysis, GL reconciliation, and investments
- Implement policies and procedures for compliance and efficiency
- Reconcile revenue reports, perform daily balance sheet and cash position analyses
- Ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial records
- Lead and develop accounting team, streamline processes
- Provide financial support, attend meetings, assist in investment management
- Prepare financial plans, maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Oversee month-end close processes and produce monthly financial statements
- Assist with incurred cost and rate reports as necessary
- Prepare short-term and long-term financial plans and establish operational budgets
- Maintain strong relationships with members, governing bodies, vendors, and the general management
Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required, Master’s degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of five (5+) years in accounting and finance, preferably in a financial service organization or credit union
- Software: Proficiency in ALM

Pay: $64,000- $90,000/yr., based on experience
Type: 1st Shift, Full-time, onsite (no hybrid or WFH)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
