Electronics Engineer

Aero Instruments & Avionics, Inc. is a leader in the commercial aviation repair market, and we are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our growing team in Depew, NY.

The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, improving, and testing new or existing custom testing arrangements as well as assist the Operations team with level 3 repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Create testing procedures and maintenance for electronic equipment and components
• Recommend design modification and equipment repair
• Inspect electronic test equipment to ensure they meet applicable regulations
• Assist with the design and development of testing and fault isolation procedures, both hardware and software
• Review problematic subassemblies for Repair Scope development
• Respond to test equipment repairs and maintenance as required
• Assist the Operations team with component level repairs as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in troubleshooting, schematic analysis, circuit design and automated test stations
• Problem solving and troubleshooting ability
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Technology

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or Electronic Technology
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Additional Information:

• Salary: $80,000 - $84,000 per year.
• This position is subject to the DOT/FAA alcohol and drug program
• A background check is required and FAA pre-employment drug screen is required.

• This position is located in Depew, NY. Relocation assistance is not available.
