Electrical PV & BESS PM - REMOTE

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of Utility Scale and Distributed Generation PV and Energy Storage projects, overseeing all aspects from conception to completion.
• Generate comprehensive site plans, electrical line diagrams, and equipment specifications for projects.
• Conduct PVsyst Analysis to optimize project performance.
• Utilize Excel and specialized tools to create PV Wire schedules and bill of materials.
• Delegate AutoCAD tasks and occasionally engage in drafting activities as necessary.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of utility scale PV system components and oversee their integration into projects.
• Attend client meetings, showcasing expertise in PV and Energy Storage Electrical Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, UL, IEEE Standards, and other relevant codes and standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging renewable technologies through ongoing research.
• Manage project budgets and supervise team members' billability and work quality.
• Negotiate schedules with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Electrical Studies team to facilitate timely completion of tasks and communicate changes to clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical/aerospace engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership roles (Lead Engineer/Project Engineer/Project Manager) within the Utility Scale PV and Energy Storage industry.
• Preferred certifications: NABCEP Certification, Electrical Engineer-in-training (EIT), and PE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and manual drafting for construction details, site plans, and electrical line drawings.
• Expertise in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on balance of plant components and monitoring systems for Utility Scale PV and Energy Storage systems.
• Familiarity with Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with power studies software such as ETAP, AmpCalc, SKM, or CYMCAP is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills, including experience with RFI, progress tracking, and resource allocation tools.
• Passion for project design and optimization, with a drive to innovate.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to individuals of varying technical backgrounds and negotiating effectively with clients.
• Demonstrated experience leading Utility Scale PV and Energy Storage projects, overseeing all design aspects.
• Minimum 2 years of indirect or direct people management experience, with a track record of mentoring or leading engineers and designers to deliver successful projects.
