Arizona Community Physicians (ACP) is seeking a regulatory executive to join our successful physician-owned medical group of 820 employees, including 166 providers in more than forty-five locations across Tucson, Green Valley and Oro Valley. This position will supervise  staff and together support programs and initiatives, including, but not limited to:

·         Occupational Safety & Health

·         New Employee Testing & Immunization

·         Incident Reporting

·         Health insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Risk Analysis (SRA), focusing on Physical Security

Essential Job Duties

·         Develop and maintain policies, procedures, training and educational programs, forms and other required documents to support programs and meet regulatory requirements.

·         Subject matter expert for assigned regulatory programs, simplifying complex and potentially contradictory regulations.

·         Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders, advising on procedures and providing guidance.

·         Safety Committee Chairperson.

·         Maintain awareness of related Federal Register proposed and final rules, and corrections, as well as communiques that may impact the organization from other governmental agencies including, but not limited to, Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), OSHA and Pima County Health Department (PCHD).

Qualifications

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Work Experience

·         A minimum of 2 years employee health and safety and/or regulatory experience.

candidate Qualifications

·         Demonstrated safety & health expertise and leadership, preferably in a healthcare setting.

·         Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and translate complex regulatory documentation.

·         Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills exhibiting respect and diplomacy.

·         Ability to appropriately prioritize projects and meet deadlines.

·         Highly motivated with ability to maintain a positive and professional manner, establishing respectful, supportive relationships with stakeholders.

Preferred candidate

-       3-5 years of employee OSHA/Safety & Health experience in a healthcare setting.

-       Bachelor’s degree.
