Position Overview


We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Account Specialist will play a crucial role as the primary point of contact for client accounts, ensuring outstanding service and client satisfaction. This role involves managing a portfolio of client accounts, addressing clients' needs and queries efficiently, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining long-term relationships. The Account Specialist will also collaborate with sales, marketing, product teams, and various stakeholders including our sales channel to ensure that clients' needs are met and to identify opportunities for growth within each account.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:


-     Manage Client Accounts: Oversee a portfolio of assigned client accounts, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

-     Client Communication: Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries and issues, responding in a timely and effective manner. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate internal teams.

-     Contract Management: Review and manage contract terms with clients, ensuring all agreements are up-to-date and renewed as necessary.

-     Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of client accounts, including contact logs, contract details, and service requirements. Generate regular reports on account status, challenges, and opportunities.

-     Financial Tasks: Oversee financial aspects such as invoicing, billing issues, and contract negotiations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial dealings.

-     Feedback and Solutions: Gather client feedback and collaborate with internal teams to improve products and services. Propose and develop solutions to meet clients' business needs.

-     Sales Support: Assist with new client onboarding and support sales teams with up-sell and cross-sell opportunities. Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed.

-     Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities. Share insights with internal teams to develop strategies and enhance service offerings.

 

Qualifications


-     Proven experience as an Account Specialist, Account Manager, or similar client-facing role.

-     Strong understanding of customer service, account management, and basic sales principles.

-     Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate effectively within a team

environment.

-     Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

-     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop client relationships.

-     Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.

-     Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

-     Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

-     Ability to multitask and manage time effectively, prioritizing client needs and deadlines.


Physical Requirements:


Incorporated within one or more of the essential functions of this position are the following essential physical requirements:


-     Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels in person and/or on the telephone.

-     Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation in person and/or on the telephone.

-     Ability to operate a computer, calculator, copy machine, telephone, and other office equipment with dexterity and in a safe and efficient manner.

-     Ability to see for purposes of reading instructions, labels, and other printed matter and for the safe operation of equipment.

-     Ability to routinely lift/carry office supplies and printed materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.

-     Physical mobility sufficient to move about the work environment for sustained periods of time on hard flooring, stairs, ramps, and to respond to emergency situations.

-     Physical agility sufficient to sit, stand, kneel, walk, push/pull, squat, twist, bend, stoop, and reach in all directions including overhead.

-     Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.


Work Environment:


This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
