Job Description
Job Description

We are offering a remote work position as a Front-End Web Developer. We are only seeking candidates living in Southern California.

We’ve been in business for 10+ years, originally based in LA and now spread throughout Southern California. Our services include website design, custom web development, search marketing, advertising, and website maintenance -- achieving sustained business growth for our clients through technical optimization, strategic SEO & targeted advertising campaigns.

We take pride in the quality of our work and our ability to always go above and beyond for our clients -- we strive to consistently exceed expectations. We believe that our core values of transparency, integrity and a general enthusiasm about our work is the reason we’re successful and why we’re fortunate to have the clients we have today. Our clients range from early stage funded startups to multinational companies in ecommerce, real estate, finance, beauty products, fashion, and more.

We’re seeking an individual with front-end web development skills and proficiencies including Javascript, WordPress/PHP, Shopify, ReactJS, Tailwind, web components, and Typescript with the ability to work with and manipulate APIs and JSON/GraphQL data arrays. We work primarily with web architectures such as Headless (react/nextjs), Shopify, WordPress, custom javascript applications, etc. and proficiency with SolidJS, Remis, TanStack, Framer motion, Tailwind/Bootstrap, ThreeJS and other front-end libraries is a plus.

During your time working with us, you will learn how to use the latest web development technologies to create web projects including business websites, custom web applications, using and manipulating third party APIs and plugins, and how to optimize these web applications for performance.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing websites and custom features per design mockups and client requests, updating site content, research and implementation of web development solutions, and managing client project updates.

We’re looking for someone who is interested in long-term growth with the company as future business growth will lead to further opportunities, greater responsibility, higher compensation and benefits (401k, annual bonus, PTO), permanent employment, etc.

Qualities that are important to us are a strong work ethic, integrity, effective communication skills (this is very important since this is a remote work position -- ability to communicate effectively in English is a requirement), creativity, quality of work, pride and ownership of work and a general enthusiasm about the industry.

We typically maintain a 9a-5p PT schedule (we are based in Southern California, USA) and require primary availability during those times (although these hours are flexible as long as tasks are being completed on time and up to expectation). It is critically important that tasks are done on time and by a set deadline. We communicate primarily through Slack, Google Meet (web calls), and Asana. We meet in person once or twice a month at various locations throughout Southern California (LA/OC).

What we’re really looking for is someone who is dependable, willing and excited to learn and hone their skills as a web developer and work with new web technologies.

Please provide your background, availability, work samples that display your proficiency and understanding of required languages and technologies, and anything else you think would make you a good candidate.
