Job Description

This shift helps with the prep and production of our commissary products for our other locations. We have part-time and full-time shifts available.

We're looking for someone with:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • A great attitude and a desire to make great food for our guests!
  • Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry (preferred, but not required)
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of foods, according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures
  • Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • Estimate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage
  • Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs
  • Maintain a positive relationship with all employees and guests
  • Always ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all business needs are met
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
  • Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property

Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • The working environment is a commercial kitchen and restaurant
  • The person in this position may have to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on a daily basis; anything over fifty (50) pounds is considered a minimum two (2) person lift
  • The person having this position may have to remain stationary at a cook/grill/prep station for eight (8) hours, move or traverse restaurant and kitchen spaces frequently
  • May need to push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for up to two (2) hours per day
