Freezer/Defrost Technician

Rich Ice Cream is looking for a Freezer/Defrost Technician. This person must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Sanitation Practices (GSPs), and safely perform all assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities (not an exhaustive list):

• Maintain the refrigeration oil delivery system in clean working order.
• Clean ammonia compressor engine room floors as needed.
• Defrost all freezers on a daily basis.
• Monitor and ensure that all evaporators are free of ice and working properly(fan motors, drip pans, drains, valves, piping, etc.)
• Monitor and ensure that all rusty spots on piping, compressors, vessels, etc. are cleaned and painted.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have an attitude willing to learn and take training.
• Must be able to work in sub-zero temperatures.
• Must be able to write legibly.
• Must be detail oriented, dependable, and flexible.
• Must be able to work Tuesday thru Saturday, with occasional Sundays as needed.
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
