Job Description
Everstaff is seeking a Legal Assistant for a prominant law firm in the Minneapolis, MN area.

Salary: $65,000-$75,000/yr
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Review and amend highly sensitive and confidential documents with attention to detail, actively identifying and communicating any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain utmost confidentiality regarding sensitive matters and information.
  • File electronically in both state and federal courts, as well as upload documents to various government systems such as the EEOC.
  • Coordinate attorney schedules and calendars, managing a high volume of meetings and client calls efficiently.
  • Assist in the billing process by reviewing and editing BIMs, preparing reports, cover letters, and emails, and addressing client and attorney inquiries
  • Independently handle administrative tasks including proofing, editing, and releasing attorney time entries, tracking CLEs, and managing reimbursements.
  • Draft and review letters and memoranda in accordance with firm standards using word processing and document management software.
  • Organize attorney emails and save them in the appropriate client files.
  • Provide exceptional client service by greeting guests, scheduling meetings, and assisting clients promptly and courteously.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Offer proactive support to attorneys and prioritize work effectively in response to urgent requests.
  • Manage multiple priorities with flexibility and meet deadlines proactively.
  • Create, maintain, and retire files following Taft’s Information Governance Policy.
  • Assist in managing client contacts, emails, print documents, and mail processing.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in all interactions.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient command of the English language and strong grasp of standard grammar rules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs with a willingness to enhance technical skills and learn new software.
  • Ability to read cursive handwriting for accurate time entry and completion of handwritten edits, notes, and documents.
