Part-time Laborer

Paradise Locker Meats (PLM) is seeking a PART-TIME employee to fill our SANITATION ASSISTANT position starting immediately.  Working 10-15 hours per week including rotating Saturdays to assist in retail area.

Main Duties:

Assist the Retail Manager and Retail Assistants with various duties, including carrying out orders, cleaning, making boxes and to assist in other departments including shipping as needed.

1. Know PLM mission and products
2. Put away customer orders in freezer
3. Execute customer pickups from freezer – and carry out – heavy lifting
4. Clean various areas weekly
5. Assemble boxes daily
6. Assist in shipping as needed
7. Assist in special projects as requested

Skills and Experience Needed for Success:

• Self-starter and motivator
• Ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis throughout the work day
• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail

On a daily basis livestock is processed, cut, packaged and shipped via truck and via FedEx. The day-to-day operations at PLM can be challenging and difficult as PLM customers include the most demanding and celebrated chefs. When the Friday truck leaves, everything must be perfect and accounted for. A drug test is required.
