Construction Estimating Professional

GBC is currently searching for a Construction Estimating Professional in our commercial concrete division. We are seeking a “take charge” individual who has the ability to help drive our estimating department and play an important key role in the future growth and success of the company. This individual will report directly to the Business Development Manager and have the benefit of working with a seasoned team of professionals who are all highly dedicated to achieving the company’s goals. This is a fast- paced, team oriented environment. Qualified individuals will possess 3+ years experience in the commercial concrete industry. We are looking for an individual that emphasizes profitability, team work, and client satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Track bid opportunities and prioritize for estimating staff

• Perform quantity take offs and prepare estimates using Excel spreadsheet templates

• Compose clear, concise, detailed proposals

• Obtain and negotiate pricing from vendors and subcontractors

• Negotiate contracts and change orders with customers when required

• Collect, track and report estimating and cost data

• Review estimates and proposals prepared by estimating staff

• Create processes and procedures to streamline and improve estimating process

• Coordinate with Production Team to ensure project parameters and budgets are understood

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Senior Estimator
• In-depth knowledge of the concrete construction industry
• Sage & Procore programs preferred, but not required, willing to train
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Proficient at using on screen take off software
• Ability to read plans and specifications for a variety of trades
• Proficient at using Excel and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team

Working conditions consist of a temperature-controlled office; noise level in work environment is usually moderate.

Annual Salary - Based on Experience + Bonus
