Shipping Manager/Logistics Rep

We are seeking a Shipping/Logistics Clerk to assist the customer service and production departments in getting freight quotes, shipping out product, doing all paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Create Film requisitions and transfer film PO's
• Follow up on status of requisitions and film PO's
• Maintain spreadsheet of film orders
• Maintain raw material inventory spreadsheet
• Maintain film receiving file
• Allocate film
• Shipping log to shipping department daily
• Work with freight companies to get freight quotes - schedule broker trucks
• Maintain bill of lading log
• Create shipping documents for incoming and outgoing shipments domestic and international
• Issue release for trucks coming from corporate office to Vancouver
• Maintain Sigma shipping log
• Inventory raw materials monthly or as requested
• Review daily production schedules to project shipping needs
• Manage and train employees in warehouse, shipping, receiving and forklift operation duties
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment
• Perform equipment inspections and plan for maintenance
• Load and un-load semi-trucks as needed
• Identify best cost-efficient freight options that will meet expected delivery dates and times. Work with customer service and sales departments to find all available freight options to meet customer delivery expectations for urgent needs

Knowledge and skills:

• Basic math skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with vendors in professional manner
• Ability to work with Office Software: Word, Excel, Outlook
• Teamwork and positive attitude
