JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic

EMPLOYER: University Club Memphis

DEPARTMENT: Maintenace

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance

SUMMARY: Supports all production/facility equipment during normal operation, performs preventive maintenance on all equipment, and maintains facility in top condition.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Routinely inspects and maintains building and installed systems including but not limited to handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and grounds.
  • Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
  • Maintains heating and air conditioning units for the facility.
  • Assists with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
  • Communicates need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment to appropriate manager.
  • Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair.
  • Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
  • Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment of unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
  • Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and pool maintenance.
  • Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather.

  • Ability to work on projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary

  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally/Frequently/Continually exposed to outside weather conditions
