Bookkeeper

JOB OVERVIEW

The Bookkeeper will support the Firm in recording and maintaining accurate financials, executing billing and AR processes. The candidate for this role will help build and maintain reconciliation, AP and other processes that support the growth of the business. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to compliance with GAAP and applicable laws, the Bookkeeper will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial data.

Commutable distance from Denver, CO or West Palm Beach, FL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate daily transactions in compliance with GAAP and applicable laws
• Monthly reconciliations to balance all accounts and systems.  
• Reconcile and explain identified issues. 
• Executing monthly billing and accounts receivable processes.
• Create financial statements 
• Forecasting and cash flow management
• Developing or adjusting systems and processes where needed. 
• Developing standard process and procedures
• Ability to meet regular deadlines
• Special and additional project as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or experienced equivalent
• Deep understanding of Quickbooks Online
• Deep understanding of GAAP
• Deep understanding of accrual accounting
• Expert in excel
• Deep attention to detail
• Excellent data entry skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, consistently  changing environment
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to project manage

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Have a growth mindset
• Is customer focused and has excellent service skills
• Is resilient and resourceful
• Understanding of bill.com
• Understanding of function point
• Experience with moving from cash to accrual
• Experience with Shopify

Salary
$50,000 - $70,000 USD annually
