As we continue to expand our capabilities, we're seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team.
Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting our R&D efforts for the development of cutting-edge bioprocessing equipment. You'll be involved in every stage of the product development process, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring that our equipment meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize technical expertise to contribute to the development of bioprocessing equipment, including vessels, piping systems, instrumentation, controls, and heating/cooling systems.
- Assemble, operate, and troubleshoot mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Utilize ERP systems to create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) effectively.
- Develop purchase specifications for equipment, considering regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the bioprocessing industry.
- Design and execute test protocols, analyzing and documenting results in comprehensive reports.
- Direct experience with heating and cooling equipment is highly desired.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical engineering is a strong plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in the design and development of industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for BOM management and ECO execution.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the bioprocessing industry.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally to Shrewsbury, MA as required.
