Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires interfacing with customers on site and providing them with information that will enable them to effectively monitor Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) deployments for security relevant events so that they can be acted upon appropriately using their existing Operations Center Capabilities. The consultant will work with the customer to perform any analysis and correlation of events, etc.
Location: Work to be performed at Ft. Meade, in Ops 1 and Oracle's office in Annapolis Junction
Required Experience:
- Experience with log extraction techniques for security relevant events
- Understanding of middle-tier, OS and application logs from a threat analysis perspective
- Ability to create and configure alerts to monitor security events generated from Cloud environments
- Assist customers with the integration of Oracle cloud (OCI) and cloud security functions
- Ability to use problem solving skills and experience to analyze existing data architecture challenges and recommend changes as necessary
- Participate in project meetings and manage day-to-day efforts toward project accomplishments
- Must hold a US Top Secret/SCI security clearance, with FSP
- At least 8 years in a cybersecurity discipline
- BS in Computer Science or related field (or 5 years of equivalent work experience)
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients
- Experience with SIEM and log management/analysis for threat assessment/analysis
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or related experience from AWS or Microsoft Azu
Desired Experience:
- Experience with Java, Json, the Elastic product suite (Logstash, Beats, Kibana, Elastic search), and/or Splunk
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cyber Security Framework
