As our Applications Analyst you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and developing various business applications, including ERP systems, WMS, and reporting tools. The role will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure the smooth functioning of our application ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
    1. Provide technical support to all standard and custom modules in the ERP system (Macola), WMS (Wisys), PowerApps, Power BI and other business applications.
    2. Conduct root-cause analysis and resolution of complex problems in support of production environments.
    3. Coordinate migrations and implementation of changes between different application environments, such as test and production.
    4. Monitor the performance and usage of applications, identifying areas for optimization.
    5. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups.
  2. Application Development and Customization:
    1. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for software applications.
    2. Translate business needs into technical specifications and system design documents.
    3. Develop, customize, and configure software applications to meet business requirements.
    4. Develop and implement test plans for thorough testing of applications to ensure quality and reliability.
    5. Identify and troubleshoot issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
    6. Coordinate the deployment of new applications or updates to existing applications.
    7. Ensure smooth transition and integration of applications into the production environment.
  3. Database and Report Development:
    1. Develop reports in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) to meet business requirements.
    2. Create and modify TSQL reports, Crystal Reports, Power BI and report templates as needed.
    3. Write and maintain code, scripts, and queries as needed.
    4. Manage and optimize database performance as necessary.
  4. Customer Support and Training:
    1. Support customers with implementation on report writing and customizations.
    2. Provide training and assistance to end-users on utilizing reports and understanding data.
    3. Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and training as needed.
    4. Develop user documentation and training materials.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    1. Maintain accurate documentation of application configurations, processes, and procedures.
    2. Generate reports and metrics to track application usage, performance, and compliance.
  6. Other essential functions
    1. Research and recommend new business technology applications and systems that will support the organizations long term growth objectives.
    2. Continually look for ways to improve processes and systems to make them more efficient and effective.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. 3+ years proven experience as an Applications Analyst or similar role.
  3. Experience working in Manufacturing, Distribution and/or CPG industries
  4. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C#, T-SQL) and application development frameworks.
  5. Hands-on troubleshooting experience with the ability to conduct research into software-related issues.
  6. Demonstrate a strong understanding of relational databases, including tables, views, indexes, and table spaces.
  7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  8. Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle.
  9. Strong communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
  10. Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  11. Preferred experience includes:
    1. Successfully participating in an ERP implementation end to end
    2. Ecommerce support and development
    3. Experience with Macola/Synergy ERP
    4. EDI Experience
    5. Office 365 implementation and support
