2nd shift, Production Supervisor/Lead Machine Operator

This is a HANDS-ON supervisor role in a production/warehouse environment. This facility is in Greenville not far from Easley, Taylors, or Travelers Rest. CHERRYDALE area.

***Flexibility with the schedule is a must. Training on 1st shift is required (7am to 3:30pm) and then you will be moved to 2nd. NOTE: Shifts can go from 8 to 10 to even 12hrs as needed.*** Regular overtime required. Willingness to work 2nd shift long term required.

Please note: We may be transitioning to a 12hr shift 2/2/3 schedule. For supervisors, typically Mon-Fri.

Normal hours 3p-11:30p. If it goes to 12s, 7p to 7a if on 2/2/3

Mechanically inclined.

• Strong work history (longevity on the job)
• Must be mechanically inclined and highly organized
• 5+ years of supervising experience in a manufacturing/production environment. Printing experience is a plus.
• Note: You MUST have valid DL, own a reliable vehicle, and stable job history to be considered. A drug test and criminal background is required (they print checks so the background check is thorough).

Standard shift schedule when not working overtime

• 2nd shift - 3pm to 11:30pm (could possibly be required to come in earlier or stay later as the supervisor).

Summary: Oversees and works hands-on with printing machine operators.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Excellent attendance record and punctuality
• Position requires High School/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of USPS regulations
• Ability to read and understand job tickets
• Ability to use powered material handling equipment and stack pallets

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to be able to stand on feet for entire shift but steel toed shoes are NOT required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Certain PPE may be required while performing specific job functions

Security Clearance: This Client is a Federal Contractor and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.

General Duties Overview
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the shift
- Ensure production goals are met and quality standards are maintained
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance
- Provide training and guidance to new employees
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other shift managers to ensure smooth transitions between shifts
- Communicate with upper management regarding any issues or

Basic Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate power tools
- Ability to assemble, fabricate, and use hand tools effectively
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management
