Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager
- $55,000 to $80,000 Yearly

Basic Functions: Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports and statements. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Executing daily operations of the accounting department including:
· month and end-year process
· accounts payable/receivable
· cash receipts
· manufacturing activity
· general ledger
· payroll
· treasury
· cash forecasting
· revenue and expenditure variance analysis
· account reconciliations
· payment processing
· fixed asset activity
· debt activity
· Developing and maintaining a disciplined monthly close process including a close calendar, close checklist and journal entry checklist
· Monitoring and analyzing accounting data; producing financial reports and statements
· Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, principles, and controls
· Coordinating physical inventory counts and cycle counts
· Coordinating and completing annual audits
· Proactively improving systems and procedures while initiating corrective actions
· Assigning projects and directing staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
· Meeting financial accounting objectives
· Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions
· Monitoring debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
· Coordinating with external service providers to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
· Coordinating basic human resources activities such as new hire onboarding
Qualification Requirements:
· Accounting background with a minimum of three years experience in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager role; BS Degree in Accounting required (CPA a plus)
· Advanced computer skills including MS Office, financial accounting software knowledge (Oracle NetSuite a plus)
· Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
· Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
· Experience in a manufacturing environment using standard costing
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to direct and supervise; strong interpersonal skills
