CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR

POSITION SUMMARY

EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) is seeking several highly motivated people to join our Construction Management and Inspection team. We have current openings for construction inspectors with 3 to 4 years of experience in the building or rehabilitation of roadways, bridges, tunnels, and/or facilities. The ideal candidate has construction field experience.

NATURE OF WORK

This position requires some in construction. Applicants will be required to obtain the Mid-Atlantic Region Technician Certification Program (MARTCP) certifications in soils & aggregate compaction, concrete field technician, and HMA field technician within 6 months from hire date. EBA will provide training and classes to acquire certification. The ideal candidate will have previous experience or certification in soil, concrete, and asphalt field testing.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF WORK

Proficient in math and English; have introductory knowledge of construction practices and techniques and engineering methods and techniques; demonstrate basic computer skills; able to work from simple plans and specifications; capacity to understand and follow instructions; and able to work effectively with others. In addition, the individual will be required to work in various weather conditions and terrains.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Must have a valid driver's license

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Able to pass a background check and drug test

Must have reliable transportation

High school diploma or a high school equivalence certification

MDOT experience with Active MOT and E&S certification preferred

Note: Applicants may substitute education in an engineering curriculum at an accredited junior college, college, or university at the rate of (30) semester credit hours for one year of required experience.
