Job Description

Nuclear Medicine Tech needed to support hopsital system in Augusta, GA. Housing, travel, benefits offered to the qualified candidate. '

Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, while adhering to radiation safety standards, to perform a wide variety of exams and procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. Exams include Routine NM procedures, Cardiac, and PET/CT. Evaluate images for technical quality, perform post processing of data, and ensure proper patient identification is recorded. Perform required quality control checks on cameras and laboratory equipment to ensure proper operation. Provide optimal patient care.

2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)

Philips Vereos PET/CT scanner, Philips Brightview XCT, Philips Skylight, Siemens C.Cam cardiac camera; Thyroid uptake probe; Philips Intellispace Portal and PACS, Autoquant/Autospect, 4DM, Siemens e.soft; Cerner

3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.

Minimum of 3 years experience in Nuclear Medicine and/or PET/CT; competent in IV catheter placement

4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)

NMTCB or ARRT(N); BLS..'
