Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and supporting the financial reporting process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. General Accountabilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close functions, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and allocations.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and help prepare monthly variance analysis for senior management.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, and work with Controller on creating efficiencies and streamlining procedures.
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.
• Provide support during external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis initiatives.
• Assist with inventory reporting, financial controls, and supporting analysis of inventory and COGS.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA certification is a strong plus.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in learning and utilizing accounting software, as well as Microsoft Suite.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
