Job Description

This is a hands-on position providing support to engineering projects, and manufacturing production area including new equipment qualification, production processes and inspection methods validation, labeling, packaging and continuous process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES:

  • Assist Engineers with the development of new processes, test methods and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and contribute to the development of design solutions.
  • Support implementing ergonomic improvements for the cleanroom.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and workflows.
  • Support the creation and review of 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks CAD software.
  • Conduct research and analysis on materials and technologies suitable for medical device applications.
  • Assist in conducting design/process verification and validation tests to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Document and maintain engineering records, including design changes, test results, and technical reports.
  • Assist engineers and scientists as they create, modify, and test products and processes.
  • Support development and implementation for manufacturing/quality procedures.
  • Prepare and conduct engineering experiments/DOE
  • Manage data entry for process monitoring activities.
  • Provide support to quality/engineering team for CAPAs, NCRs, Deviations and SCARs

Qualifications
  • Looking for applicants who are: Actively pursuing at a minimum a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a related academic field is required.
  • Enrolled (not necessarily taking classes) at an accredited college/university during the internship period with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is required.
  • Self-motivated individual interested in gaining hands-on experience and who had shown interest in development of innovative technologies.
  • Data driven, attentive to detail, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Understand basic applied statistics, statistical sampling plans, and statistical process control.
  • Strong computer skills in the MS office products
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good technical writing and organization skills
  • Preferred experience in molding, extrusion and/or packaging
  • Preferred experience in development and interpretation of SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs) and engineering drawings
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship period is required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B status) now or in the future.
  • Able to follow safety and environmental policies and procedures, supporting department objectives, and demonstrate and maintain behavioral standards in line with company standards and policy.

Additional Information

Compensation for this position is $24/hour and is expected to be 40 hours per week.
This is a Summer internship with a term of ~12 weeks.
