Overview:

Hisense USA is actively seeking a dynamic and innovative Structural Engineer to join our Air Products division. This role is particularly suited to both experienced engineers and motivated fresh graduates who are passionate about pioneering new technologies and product improvements. The Structural Engineer will be a central figure in driving the group’s vision by enhancing the structural integrity and performance of air conditioning units and other air management systems through advanced prototyping and innovative solutions.

 

The Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in advancing Hisense USA’s air products by leveraging innovative structural designs and prototyping techniques. This role directly impacts the company’s ability to differentiate its products in the competitive market through superior performance and groundbreaking technology. The engineer’s contributions will bolster Hisense’s reputation as a leader in high-quality and innovative air solutions.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Design and Analysis: Develop groundbreaking structural designs that not only meet engineering specifications but also push the boundaries of current technologies to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Advanced Prototyping: Lead the prototyping phase of product development, including the design, creation, and testing of prototypes to explore new designs and refine existing ones. Use rapid prototyping techniques and tools to accelerate iteration cycles and innovation.
  • Material Selection and Optimization: Select optimal materials that align with innovative design principles and environmental sustainability. Evaluate material performance under various conditions to ensure longevity and durability.
  • Collaborative Development: Collaborate with mechanical engineers, product designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of structural components with mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Standards: Adhere to the highest standards of structural safety and compliance with environmental regulations throughout the design and development processes.
  • Documentation and Intellectual Property: Maintain meticulous records of all design processes, tests, and modifications. Contribute to patent applications for innovative designs and solutions when applicable.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Engage continuously in research and development to discover new materials, techniques, and structural concepts. Lead the way in integrating these innovations into product designs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field. Fresh graduates with a strong academic record are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience in structural engineering, particularly involving HVAC systems or similar industrial products, is advantageous. Experience with innovative prototyping and design optimization is highly valued.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in CAD & structural simulation software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
  • Skilled in rapid prototyping tools and methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of material science and engineering principles.
  • Proven ability to innovate and develop new engineering solutions.
  • Strong project management capabilities, capable of leading projects from conception through to implementation.
  • Exceptional technical documentation skills, with the ability to secure and manage intellectual property.
  • Effective communicator, adept at explaining complex technical details to diverse audiences.
