Position Summary:

Midnight Sun is seeking four Laboratory Managers (LM) to support a Federal research contract in McLean, VA. Each LM shall be responsible for the on-site oversight of the individual laboratory facility of their focus area (Geotech, Hydraulics, NDE, or Structures).

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Managing overall scheduling of laboratory resources and day-to-day logistics.
• Delivery of high-quality research papers and reports.
• Maintain a state of good repair for all equipment, to include calibrations and/or annual maintenance requirements are upheld.
• Maintain an up-to-day individual laboratory safety plan.
• Ensure on-site contractor employees comply with established safety procedures and relevant OSHA standards.
• May serve dual roles such as research engineer.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 5 years of laboratory management experience in the corresponding lab area (Geotech, Hydraulics, NDE, or Structures).
• Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance and site access.

Preferred Requirements:

• Master of Science or Doctorate degree in a field relevant to the lab function.
