Reliant Space is seeking an experienced Senior Ground Systems Engineer to join our team.

Basic Qualifications:
- BS Engineering with 10+ years relevant experience
- Experience in systems engineering lifecycle, agile development, and scaled agile framework
- Demonstrated capability in concept of operations development - scope, objectives, requirements, end-to-end communications strategy,
- Domain expertise in spacecraft bus characteristics - Command & Data Handling, Telemetry & Command, Propulsion, Thermal, Power, Flight Software, and Attitude Control
- Domain expertise in ground system characteristics - Telemetry & Command, Mission Planning & Scheduling, Flight Dynamics, Ground Stations, Automation, Product Distribution, and Payload Operations
- Experience is space/ground satellite communications
- Experience in software development lifecycles
- Experience in radio frequency space-to-ground communications
- Experience in multiple engineering disciplines - systems engineering, software development, and integration & test
- Experience in orbit mechanics
Desired Qualifications:
- 12+ years of professional experience in ground system design, development, verification, deployment, and validation
- Mission operations experience for LEO, MEO, or GEO satellites
- Demonstrated flight and ground operations experience for low-earth orbit space vehicles
- Experience in ground system maintenance and sustainment
- Experience with NASA, NOAA, and DoD
- Experience with SETA support including SOW and RFP input and authorship
- Experience in NIST Risk Management Framework
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and workflows
- Familiar with ground encryption solutions and implementations
- Experience with Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) standards (e.g., CFDP)
General Overview & Responsibilities:
- Provide systems engineering and technical advisory support services for an earth observing satellite constellation
- Develop concept of operations, perform trade studies, and derive mission, spacecraft, and ground requirements.
- Develop plans, procedures, and processes for ground system development, test, deployment, and verification
- Research, explore, and trade technology areas for ground system and mission operations implementation
- Coordinate and lead internal and external technical exchange meetings
- Evaluate vendor studies and proposals and provides recommendations.
