Transmission Line Engineer

The Transmission Line Engineer will be utilizing PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE to model remediation for identified issues during a drone inspection of client facilities. The successful candidate will use provided LiDAR, intrusive records, and drone-based photos to assist in the analysis and remediation. Each location will have different issues, so could require thinking outside of the box.

Responsibilities of Transmission Line Engineer:

• Utility transmission line design experience (15kV through to 500kV)
• Knowledgeable in design of transmission foundations
• Familiar with foundations design programs (FAD, LPile, APile, etc.)
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives
• Work effectively in team environment; can also work independently

Technical Competencies of Transmission Line Engineer:

• Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE & LiDAR
• Understanding of electric utility pole design
• Familiarity with utility pole construction and equipment

Education and Experience of a Transmission Line Engineer:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship.
• EIT preferred but not required
• PE preferred but not required
