Principal Transmission Line Engineer

Location: Juno Beach, FL Contract Duration: 12 Months Experience Level: 11-15 Years

Overview

Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Principal Transmission Line Engineer to join their Engineering & Construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the design of critical transmission generation tie lines for renewable energy projects including Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage systems, as well as stand-alone transmission line projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage transmission line design projects from conception through construction and commissioning
  • Lead design efforts for transmission generation tie lines supporting renewable energy infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage projects
  • Oversee project lifecycle management from Early Stage through Execution phases
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex transmission line engineering challenges
  • Coordinate with construction teams during project implementation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 11-15 years of experience in transmission line engineering
  • Proven experience with transmission line design and project management
  • Knowledge of renewable energy tie-line systems (Wind, Solar, Battery Storage)
  • Strong understanding of electrical transmission systems and grid integration
