About the Team

The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Engineering and Security will lead our strategic technological advancements and safeguard our operations. This role is pivotal in executing our mission to create an ecosystem that connects the world to your block, ensuring a secure and resilient marketplace. The EVP will oversee all aspects of engineering, development, and security policies and practices, aligning with our core values of innovation, integrity, and leadership.

What you’ll Do

• Leadership and Vision: Provide visionary leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with our strategic mission. Drive engineering projects that support the infrastructure of a scalable, reliable ecosystem.
• Technology Strategy Implementation: Spearhead the design and enhancement of our engineering frameworks, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure. Implement strategies that leverage technology to accelerate the company's growth, focusing on sustainability and maximum efficiency.
• Security Oversight: Develop and enforce best-in-class security protocols across all platforms and operations. Ensure that our digital and physical assets are protected against emerging threats.
• Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with other departments to integrate technological solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Talent Management: Attract, develop, and retain a high-caliber engineering and security team. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and inclusiveness, aligned with our core values.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding data security and privacy. Manage risks that could affect the company’s technology infrastructure and data assets.

Who you are

• Proven leadership experience in Engineering and Security within a high-growth organization.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, cybersecurity, and IT best practices.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
• Experience in managing large-scale IT projects and initiatives from conception to implementation.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical and risk management issues at all organizational levels.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
