Body Shop Technician

Summary

Rechtien International Trucks is seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team at our Riviera Beach dealership. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to truck body repair and restoration. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in welding, painting, sheet metal work, and mechanical knowledge.

Essential Duties

· Perform body repairs, including welding, sheet metal work, and auto painting.

· Conduct mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.

· Assemble and disassemble vehicles as needed.

· Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete tasks.

· Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.

· Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.

· Prepares vehicles for body repair work.

· Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.

· Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.

· Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.

· Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

· Other tasks as assigned.

Experience:

· Proven experience in auto body repair and restoration

· Strong knowledge of welding techniques and sheet metal work

· Proficiency in auto painting and detailing

· Mechanical knowledge to perform repairs and troubleshooting.

· Familiarity with assembling and disassembling trucks

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Valid driver's license

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong problem-solving skills
