Job description

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Body Shop Manager to join our dynamic team. The Body Shop Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the dealership's Body Shop Department. This position will plan, direct and control all activities of the Body Shop Department to ensure that all growth and profit objectives are met. Ensures that the highest of quality standards and professionalism are met in service TLG customers and identifying their needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities.
  • Establish short and long term operating and financial objectives.
  • Stays informed on new products and other industry trends of interest to customers that will assist in sales efforts.
  • Maintains records and reports on all phases of Body Shop Activities.
  • Coordinates efforts and with Territory Parts Sales and Body Shop personnel to achieve full market penetration.
  • Keep all departments informed of all customer complaints and needs.
  • Purchase tools and equipment required to maximize Body Shop efficiency.
  • Direct and assist Body Shop Supervisors.
  • Solicit new customers and maintain positive relations with new and existing customers.
  • Ensures General Manager is informed of all pertinent body shop activities.
  • Coordinates and oversees training programs are properly conducted.
  • Works with Insurance Adjustors on work to be performed.
  • Check in new trucks for flaws from the factory.
  • Responsible for all Body Shop Personnel.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and College Degree or trade school certificate is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a related field is required.
  • Demonstrable Body Shop Management experience is strongly preferred.
