Job description

Gibbs Truck Centers- BODY SHOP, established 1969, multi-location dealer group throughout California is seeking highly experienced Body Shop Manager to oversee successful team.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage and Run all aspects of a Top-Notch Commercial Truck Body Shop
  • Types of jobs: Collision, Sandblasting, Frame straitening, Paint, Welding, liftgate installation, repairs, Body swaps and more.
  • Vehicles: Bus, Trailers, Tanks, Tractors, Trucks, RV’s, medium size pick-ups, Steel Material,
  • Manage teams 8 of painters, preppers and body shop advisor
  • Sales, Quotes, Estimate- Growth
  • Business to Business transaction only.
  • Work with Insurance companies and repairs and accidents  
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers.
  • Coaches, hires, trains, motivates, and monitors team performance.
  • Manages safety and Quality Repairs
  • Invoicing, collecting money, some accounting
  • Duties not limited too; other tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent (College- preferred)
  • Knowledge of ADP / CDK preferred or equivalent
  • Good computers skills and Mitchell Paint/Body Estimating System or equivalent
  • Body Shop & Auto Painting- preferred
  • Minimum 4-5 years management experience (auto/diesel a plus)
  • Organized
  • Terrific follow-up
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills; Sales & relationship building skills
  • Sales & relationship building skills
  • Bilingual is a plus
