Purchasing Specialist (CONTRACT)

You are a Purchasing Specialist who is experienced with sourcing new suppliers, ensuring purchased products meet technical specifications, evaluating supplier performance, and enforcing company policies and procurement procedures. The Purchasing Specialist will oversee timely deliveries and address any supplier-related issues or discrepancies.

This position pays: $32-37/hr
Location: Fremont, CA (on-site)

What you will be doing:

Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager and internal teams to enhance purchasing processes.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and Uniform Guidance standards.
Maintain strong supplier relations and coordinate with internal project teams.
Prepare solicitation documents such as RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
Process ad-hoc purchasing requests for computer peripherals.
Perform data entry into the Asset Management system and Telecom portal.
Assist in report preparation and maintain accurate IT inventory and procurement records.
Conduct audits of online store purchases and automate purchasing processes using technology.
Allocate cost centers of IT hardware and company-issued cellphones to invoices.
Manage asset tagging efforts with the IT department.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and fulfill other assignments as required.

What you bring:

Associates Degree
Non-Profit experience preferred
3-5 years of procurement experience
Experience working with telecom/internet service providers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing systems
Familiarity with Federal purchasing regulations (Uniform Guidance)
