Position:Mill Operator

LOCATION:Broadway & Extension Mesa, AZ

Hours: 6:00 AM Start - Must be flexible to work 10-12 hours.

Schedule:Monday-Friday

PAY: $17 an hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and focused Mill Operator to join our team. The Mill Operator will be responsible for operating machinery to mix rubber compounds according to specifications. This role requires physical stamina as it involves lifting materials weighing up to 90 lbs. The ideal candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions precisely, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

Operate mill machinery to mix rubber compounds accurately and efficiently.

Follow prescribed formulas and procedures to ensure the proper mixing of materials.

Monitor equipment operation to maintain consistent product quality and prevent defects.

Adjust machine settings as necessary to achieve desired compound characteristics.

Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a Mill Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to lift materials weighing up to 90 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.

Excellent focus and concentration to ensure accurate mixing of materials.

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects weighing up to 90 lbs.

Manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle small tools and equipment.

Ability to work in a noisy and sometimes dusty environment.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position may include exposure to loud noise, chemicals, and dust. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
