QA Engineer/Analyst

About the Role:

Exacta Systems, a leading provider of innovative solutions in the gaming entertainment sector, seeks an experienced QA professional passionate about quality assurance and testing. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure our products meet functional, technical, and regulatory standards, maintaining high product quality. The successful candidate will be adept at managing their projects and contributing to the daily outputs of the QA team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute assigned regression, functional, and end-to-end test cases under the guidance of Senior or Lead QA Engineers.
• Conduct regression testing to address defects and reproduce field and third-party reported issues.
• Collaborate with the QA lead and senior team members to develop detailed test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Track and ensure timely resolution of identified issues during testing.
• Acquire comprehensive product knowledge to conduct thorough functionality tests.
• Employ a variety of testing methodologies, including system, regression, functional, integration, and API testing.
• Aid software development in issue resolution by reproducing bugs as needed.
• Understand software testing procedures and the product development lifecycle extensively.
• Liaise with the Engineering Department to ensure all issues are addressed pre-release.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years' relevant experience in software testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in API testing is advantageous.
• Experience in the gaming and pari-mutuel industries is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies preferred.
• Experience with MongoDB and Windows server is desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of test methodologies and the ability to derive test plans from system requirements.
