What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Quality Assurance Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Quality Assurance Engineer, you need a solid background in software testing methodologies, debugging, and an understanding of programming concepts, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with test automation tools (such as Selenium or JUnit), bug tracking systems, and sometimes certifications like ISTQB are typically required. Roles often require advanced certifications, leadership responsibilities, or working in competitive markets like technology or finance.

What are Quality Assurance Engineers?
