Job Description

Job Title: Marketing Data Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a talented and analytical Marketing Data Analyst to join our marketing team. The Marketing Data Analyst will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, proficiency in marketing analytics tools, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing data from various sources, including web analytics, advertising platforms, CRM systems, and market research.
  2. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics (KPIs) and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  3. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization across different marketing channels.
  4. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve campaign performance, audience targeting, and customer acquisition/retention strategies.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to align data analysis efforts with business objectives.
  6. Perform A/B testing and other experiments to evaluate the impact of marketing initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes by providing data-driven projections and scenario analysis.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing analytics.
  9. Support ad-hoc data requests and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics, or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven experience in marketing data analysis, preferably in a digital marketing or e-commerce environment.
  3. Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or MATLAB.
  4. Experience working with marketing analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar tools.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw meaningful insights from complex datasets.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality of data analysis.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Knowledge of statistical techniques and experimental design is a plus.
  10. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
