About the Team

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. Fanatics Betting and Gaming is headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Analytics Manager to join the Fanatics Betting & Gaming organization leading a team of analysts responsible for ongoing performance tracking, reporting, and ad-hoc queries from stakeholders. The role reports into the Senior Director, Acquisition Analytics, and will focus on creating insight to drive the growth of the business, partnering closely with senior commercial stakeholders and their teams.

Supporting commercial stakeholders with Refer a Friend strategy will be a top priority for the successful candidate, as well as providing ongoing analysis and recommendations to stakeholders. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of Fanatics Betting and Gaming, as well as related products and operations.
  • Ownership of analytics for the Refer A Friend channel, which drives ~50% of our volume.
  • Drive multivariate testing for the Refer A Friend program, and iterate on previous tests to continuously improve performance.
  • Measure acquisition test performance through reporting and regular updates; monitor and ensure that nuances are communicated effectively.
  • Partner closely with Data Science and Experimentation teams to design value metrics and testing, and evaluate performance.
  • Contribute to the development and iterative improvement of our acquisition performance, using insights to drive and influence decision making.
  • Be a hands-on analyst, creating insights both regular and ad hoc. Gather and present insights metrics and activities to key stakeholders, becoming a trusted source of intelligence and advisory over time. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders in the Digital Acquisition team, as well as across the Sportsbook, Casino, and Data teams, and become a key voice in driving acquisition performance.
  • Collaboration with other Analysts and Data Scientists to find solutions to business problems.
  • Remain current on technology and trends in data analytics and the sports betting & gaming industry.
 

Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 8 years proven experience in an analytics role.
  • Degree in a relevant field, e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Strong SQL proficiency.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, e.g. Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Strong proficiency in a statistical programming language, e.g. R or Python is an advantage.
  • Experience leading stakeholders through iterative multivariate testing; a strong understanding of the considerations required to run these tests.
  • Experience in and a strong understanding of statistical model development.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationship, and to influence senior leadership.
  • Confident with presenting insights to non-technical audiences, seeking to match the analysis to the business context, and making recommendations on further steps. 
  • Customer focused; highly outcome-oriented and data-driven; experienced in working in high-growth environments.
  • Logical and analytical approach to problem solving, with strong organizational and skills.
  • Previous experience in the betting and gaming industry is a significant plus.
