Job Summary:
Financial Counselor will be responsible for guiding patients through the financial aspects of their medical care, including insurance coverage, payment plans, and financial assistance options.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized financial counseling to patients, explaining their insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses. Assist patients in understanding their medical bills and resolving any billing discrepancies.
- Educate patients about financial assistance programs, charity care options, and government-sponsored healthcare programs for which they may be eligible. Assist patients in completing applications for financial assistance and ensure timely processing
- Work with patients to establish manageable payment plans for outstanding
- Verify patient insurance coverage, including eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorizations. Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary approvals and authorizations for medical procedures and treatments.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00/hour DOE
