Company Description

Founded in 2003, Intevity (previously Twin Technologies) is a full-service boutique digital consultancy that develops solutions and technology to drive growth, transform businesses, and make a real impact on people's lives.

Based in Franklin, TN with remote offices and employees throughout the US (Boston, Chicago, D.C., New York). Intevity focuses on both Commercial and Public Sector clients, with deep expertise in retail, software, and government.

We work on all phases of projects, from early discovery and design to strategy to execution. We are known for our vulnerability-based culture, high levels of craftsmanship, innovation, and trust; being able to truly connect with the needs and spot the real reasons why an organization is being held back from achieving their goals.

Job Description

Intevity's clients are business leaders and government agencies characterized by their passion and drive to solve digitally complex problems, and we share their same passion. The VP of Public Sector will lead all of Intevity's Public Sector verticals. This executive will lead the entire strategy for the business, including developing the go-to-market approach, creating partnership strategies, and identifying new paths of organic growth (including new markets, customers, and broader opportunities). This executive will lead from the front by coaching and enabling the team members to exceed their objectives annually while collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve team success.

As the VP of the public Sector, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence and influence in the federal space and potential growth in SLED. Your deep understanding of federal acquisition processes and experience with standard GWACs/contract vehicles in the digital modernization will be instrumental in driving our success. In addition to these qualifications, the core attributes of success include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive plan that aligns with the business objectives and the evolving needs of the different government agencies.
  • Operational Management: Direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the government team to ensure efficient resource allocation, adherence to policies and procedures, and successful execution of projects.
  • Team Management: Be responsible for building and developing a team of leading consultants. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Understand the objectives of customers, system integrators, implementation partners, and other constituents involved in improving government through innovation.
  • Business Growth: Drive the growth of the public sector by identifying market opportunities, developing strategic plans, and collaborating with the sales team. Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Manage YoY growth targets.

Qualifications
  • Federal Expertise: We are seeking candidates who have a solid background in the federal domain.  You should have experience managing projects within federal acquisition rules, negotiating prime/sub relationships, and successfully closing pricing on subcontracts.
  • P&L Management: This role goes beyond traditional P&L management and focuses on overseeing a business unit or portfolio to achieve net revenue and profit targets. You will be accountable for the financial health of the federal division.
  • Growth Strategy: Your role is to drive growth, not merely contribute to it. You will be responsible for creating and executing growth strategies, identifying new opportunities, and taking ownership of achieving growth targets.
  • Team Collaboration: While ownership of growth targets is a priority, this role also involves active participation in a collaborative environment. Your contributions will collectively drive our success, and teamwork is key to our growth strategy.
  • In-Person Meetings: This role will involve in-person meetings and travel with the team or clients to the DMV area.
