Saw Operator

Summary:
Interstate Advanced Materials is looking for a CNC Panel Saw Operator to help us grow in our fabrication capacity. This role will require attention to detail and the mindset to measure twice, cut once.  The right candidate will be detail oriented & an excellent communicator with a positive attitude; willing & capable of growing with the company.

Responsibilities include: 

• Have a great attitude. A positive attitude and a team mentality is vital to our success 
• Setup and run CNC Panel Saw, ensuring precise and accurate cutting 
• Set speeds & feeds based on material type, thickness, & cut size 
• General machine maintenance & upkeep  
• Maintain quality control documents and update setup information 
• Provide feedback to maximize programs for better run times and material yields 
• Keep work area clean and tidy  
• Accurately read and interpret prints & general work instructions 
• Check and measure parts to ensure quality & accuracy 
• Work as a team with other employees to help the branch reach its goals 
• Other duties as required 

Requirements: 

• Previous experience in CNC saw operation is required 
• Ability to read & interpret prints/drawings  
• Read measuring tape & calipers 
• Communicate positively & effectively with coworkers  
• Mathematical skills: Add, subtract, multiply, divide 
• Attention to detail 
• Able to drive a forklift
