Full Time Care Call Coordinator for O'Connor Mortuary

 

Position Description:

·       Inquiry Specialist – Handles incoming calls that are inquiring about engaging our services, gains the trust and secures appointments with the caller at a very high rate.

 

·       Arranger’s Assistant – Assists the Arrangement team with follow-up items when they are unable to attend to details themselves including, product ordering, logistical assistance with military honors, livery service, church, or clergy arrangements etc.

 

·       Director of First Impressions Assistant – Helping in reception by covering for lunch hour and breaks being the first to greet those who enter the lobby.

 

·       Flexibility- As a mortuary professional, there is the inherent need to shift tasks from time to time, multitask and be available to serve the public and the team.

 

·       Physical Ability- Are able to walk up stairs and lift 20-30lbs without any physical challenges.

 

·       Team Player Mentality- Be HUMBLE, HUNGRY and SMART.

 

This position is often the very first contacts the public will have with our company when walking in or calling the mortuary.  The first impression an individual has with us should conveyed compassion and care for those in grief quickly gaining their trust.  Expertise is needed in understanding the various types of services and products offered by the company with specific and detailed knowledge of pricelists, practices, purpose and values of the company.  Securing those potential customers who inquire by phone by gaining their trust and getting the family to make an appointment to come in and meet our team, see our facility, and ultimately engage us to care for their loved one, family and guests.  Excellent listening skills lead by genuine empathy and a desire to help people and navigating the nuances of different personalities, cultures and faith’s is required.

 

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On occasions, working overtime and weekends as needed.


Duties:

·       Assisting Arrangement Directors with logistical matters and follow-up items.

·        

·       Care Call Coordinator – This role is a support role for Arrangement directors and will involve assisting them with follow-up details such as ordering products, arranging services with churches and clergy, requesting military honors, scheduling burials at cemeteries, learning to work with written transition follow-up on behalf of your teammates.

·       Phone answering and handling Inquiry Calls – Inquiry calls as you may already know, means helping people who may need our service now or in the future and are getting information of shopping.  This is a very important aspect of our business as it is literally the opportunity to secure their choice of who will care for them.  Securing their trust and their business is vital.

 

·       Evening Director- Available to assist families on an assigned night(s) for the purpose of providing pricing and service information after hours.

 

Training:  An overview of mortuary functions and services provided is crucial in understanding how this support role fits into the overall.  You will be shown how most facets of our business work including planning arrangements and working services.


Compensation Proposal


·       Fulltime Hourly Wage for Base Salary Figure Starting:    

$22.00 Per Hour Approx. $45,7600 annually


·       Overtime paid at $33.00 per hour any work beyond an 8-hour workday. Although overtime pay is not guaranteed, it is an inherent part of our service to the community.

The position also participates in the quarterly bonus opportunities based upon department and company performance as graded by our client families with a quarterly bonus structure to be defined.

 

Benefits

Full time employees are eligible to enroll in the group health and dental plan at the time of hire effective after your first 30 days of full time employment.  The company will provide a fixed dollar benefit that will be applied toward the employee’s monthly medical and dental insurance premium. The fixed benefit amount schedule is listed below:

  

Employees are responsible for the difference between the insurance premium and the fixed benefit amount.  This difference will be paid back to the company in the form of a payroll deduction made twice a month.  In the event the insurance premium is less than the fixed benefit amount, the company benefit amount will cover up to the amount of the insurance premium.

 

Full time employees are will have a Safe Harbor 401k plan that they may choose to contribute to after 12 months of consecutive full-time employment.  Details of the plan are available to you at any time and will be provided prior to your eligibility. O'Connor Mortuary provides 8 paid holidays for full time employees. Holidays to be observed are:

 

            New Year’s                   Martin Luther King                    Presidents Day                          Memorial Day            4th of July                     Labor Day                                 Thanksgiving Day                      Christmas Day

 

If one of the preceding holidays falls on your regularly scheduled day off, the company will compensate the employee with the day off at a later date, which does not conflict with the service schedule.


·       After 90 days of full-time employment, personal time off (PTO) will begin to accrue at to total 13 (8 hour) days over 12 months.
