Job Description

GAC Enterprises is a leading telecommunications infrastructure company dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions for connectivity needs. We specialize in designing, building, and maintaining telecommunications networks to ensure seamless communication for our clients. We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineering Project Manager to lead and supervise various projects involving the construction and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in telecommunications engineering, project management, and construction management. The Engineering Project Manager will oversee project designs from external vendors, review and approve designs for progression to the next phase, and manage timelines to ensure timely delivery of design work in specific neighborhoods. Responsibilities include preparing and interpreting engineering plans, drawings, and reports, as well as managing Outside Plant (OSP) budgets, company engineers, and third-party engineering firms. This role requires a self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight. The Project Manager will actively collaborate with GAC Management at various levels and across Business Units and Support teams to ensure internal and customer satisfaction. This encompasses planning and engineering all network outside plant facilities, including aerial, buried, splicing, and underground fiber optic facilities.

Requirements

● Project Planning : Develop comprehensive project plans, encompassing scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting, in close collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.

● Design Review : Thoroughly assess architectural and engineering designs to ensure their feasibility, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

● Site Inspections : Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, assess work quality, and enforce adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.

● Quality Assurance : Implement robust quality assurance protocols to uphold superior standards of construction craftsmanship and material utilization.

● Problem Solving : Identify and swiftly address any technical challenges or issues that arise during construction projects to maintain project momentum and integrity.

● Coordination : Facilitate seamless coordination among contractors, subcontractors, architects, and stakeholders to streamline project execution and foster collaborative environments.

● Cost Management : Vigilantly monitor project expenses and proactively seek out opportunities for cost optimization while ensuring uncompromised quality and safety standards.

● Documentation : Maintain meticulous project documentation, encompassing drawings, specifications, change orders, and other pertinent records, to ensure clarity and accountability.

● Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to building codes, zoning regulations, environmental guidelines, and other pertinent laws and regulations governing construction projects.

● Client Communication : Foster open and transparent communication with clients, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns promptly, and prioritizing client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

● Team Leadership : Provide inspirational leadership and direction to project teams, comprising engineers, technicians, and support staff, to cultivate a cohesive and motivated workforce dedicated to project success.
