Job Description

About the Role:

Personnel Services Unlimited is hiring candidates for a Material Handler opening! This 1st shift (7AM-3PM) is a full-time temporary position (lasting 3-4 months). The manufacturer is located in Rutherfordton, NC.

Pay is $15.00/HR.

Responsibilities Include:

Ensure accurate inventory control and material handling for shipments, received items, and returns.
Adhere to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Follow work instructions for tasks such as handling returns and preparing reports.
Maintain physical and electronic files, including systems like Oracle and SAP.
Conduct cycle counts and produce required reports.
Operate equipment such as forklifts, chase carts, and side loaders, and complete documentation accurately.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Training: Inventory control skills preferred; PC and keyboard proficiency.
Skills: Ability to work well in a team, good communication skills, flexibility.
Experience: Minimum 1-year manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred; material handling, inventory control experience, and experience with powered vehicles are desirable.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Standing/walking is required.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Comfortable working in varying conditions, including exposure to dirt, machine coolant, greases, and oils.
