Job Description

Super-Sod, the largest supplier of sod in the Southeast, is seeking an experienced, customer service oriented representative to assist our retail team in Cary, NC! Previous sod / turfgrass knowledge is preferred but not required for this position. We seek professionals who have a passion to serve our customers and build relationships face-to-face. Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm; Saturdays 7:00am-12:00pm will be required on a seasonal, rotating basis (typically every other Saturday between March and September).

The Customer Service Representative (ISR I) develops relationships and interacts face-to-face with new and existing customers (both landscapers and residential) to increase sales of products and/or services. This person also works with customers to highlight the features and benefits of Super-Sod products to achieve increased sales and profitability for our retail stores. This position performs manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking and fulfillment of customer orders in the retail warehouse/outlet yard.

  • Works with customers to recommend the best types of grasses for their projects
  • Determines customers’ lawn care needs both in-person and over the phone
  • Processes orders using Point of Sale system
  • Maintains inventory of products
  • Reconciles daily sales
  • Works closely with Sales Managers, General Management, Yard Workers and Administrative staff to provide optimal service internally and externally.
  • Operates heavy equipment used for loading, unloading and moving retail product and other equipment.
